About us

Bob Boord
Founder + Creative Director
A rebel from the start, Bob’s somewhat unique style caused his high school to institute a uniform policy. (Way too strict. Sorry.) His thesis project was a protest against censorship at his own university. (He got an A+.) And he has fought for the underdog ever since.
So it didn’t sit very well with him that he was using his skills and talents to help megacorporations get even more mega. After transforming several legacy brands like Discover Card, FTD, Office Depot, and NAPA Auto Parts, Bob took the experience and processes he used for the big guys and squeezed it down to work for mom and pops just like the ones he grew up in.
Now Bob founded Never Bored as an independent agency to help independent business owners attract higher paying clients—now!
Bob’s work has appeared in How Magazine, Chicago Design Archives, STA100, Pinnacle Awards, and the Addys. He is Visitor Host at his BNI Chapter and a Mentor in the AIGA Mentor program. He has spoken at design events including the panel at Design Leaders of Chicago, and his work has been projected onto the Merchandise Mart. In his spare time, Bob enjoys creating art, smoking delicious barbecue, and talking about himself in the third person.
Portrait of that guy who writes those books your Mom really likes.
